beca- filming
2008-08-01 - 8:49 a.m.

beca- film is a collection or I'd rather say a portfolio of my photo essays, or not, all in film.

You can find all sorts of film here in all medium, explored and yet to be. 35mm, medium format and hopefully large as well. Color film, slide film, black and white, Polaroid, Lomo, Leica, Hasselblad, Mamiya, you name it. It'll be there soon if not now.

I don't know what got into me but i woke up one morning and found myself deeply indulge in film. So if you happen to have an analog camera, an old one perhaps, probably given to you by your grandpa's, and now thinking to throw it away, please contact me first. I collect those too. : )

My early photos of black and white were all developed at the darkroom in my previous university at Washington DC. I am truly indebted to Professor Kelly Carr-Shaffer as she had been a great mentor to me, guiding me thoroughly during my semester with her. We were not only thought the technical part of how to develop and process black and white film, but we discussed articles from American Photos journals and others. I really miss those days especially during our critique class session. Ah, its like a therapy to me, putting behind all lines of code that i needed to work on for my other class assignments.

As much as i have said here, there is a lot more room for improvement. Feel open to share it with me. I'd be delighted. :)

I hope you enjoyed my work, as much as i had, working on it.
